Sell Tickets on Partiful

Partiful has officially launched native ticketing, complete with hosts’ top requested features:

• Guest Approval for Ticketed Events: Use Guest Approval to manage your list for exclusive or capacity-limited events

  • Guests follow the typical ticket purchase flow on an event page, but it’s a ticket request process

    

  • 🔎 How it works:

    • A guest visits the event page to request a ticket
    • When a guest is pending approval, a hold will be placed on their card until the host approves them. This hold expires after 7 days.

    

    • Approving a guest charges their card, marks them ‘Approved,’ grants them tickets, and sends them a notification
• Multiple Ticket Tiers
  • Set up free ticket types, General Admission, VIP, and more
• Promo Codes
  • Create a percentage or dollar discount to share with attendees

• QR Code Check-In
  • QR codes are generated for every ticket purchase and can be quickly scanned during check-in using the Partiful app

• Check-in Staff Permissions
  • When you're hosting a ticketed event on Partiful, you can easily grant event access to bouncers and staff for check-in only, without making them full co-hosts
• Host-Initiated Refund Capabilities
  • Hosts can refund guests if needed, directly through Partiful </aside>

• With an organization profile, you can build up a following on Partiful and invite org followers to your events

FAQs

🎫 Already have RSVPs and need to sell tickets? Here are a few options:

1. Remove the existing guests - This is the easiest option if you’ve only just started collecting RSVPs. Before removing, export your Guest List so you have a record of who you need to re-invite once tickets are enabled.

   💡Pro Tip: Set up a promo code to share with the guests who RSVP’d before ticket sales were added if you’d like to comp/discount their tickets!

2. Duplicate your event page - This creates a copy of your page where tickets can be set up. You can then link to this duplicate page from the first event page, and direct guests to purchase tickets.

💵 Looking to understand fee options?

• For events selling tickets, the fee is calculated based on the ticket price. The best way to see the fee for each ticket type is to enter the ticket price directly in the tool
• We include the Stripe fee in our service fee, so there is just one single fee, no hidden fees
• We've designed the fees to be flexible -
  • If a host is concerned that the fee is too high for guests, they can set the exact guest-facing price they want to appear to offset more of the cost.
  • Alternatively, if the host would like to pass more of the cost on to the buyer, they can start by setting the amount that they want to receive per ticket, and Partiful will automatically calculate the guest-facing price, inclusive of the fee. </aside>
